From India, With Love

Despite the unoriginal and boring title, i am having a wonderful time in India!
And yes, I am currently in Chennai since the 11th, if you didn't know.

I'm priviledged to have Kuhan's family's hospitality here. And so far, Chennai has been illuminating. The colours for the local bazaar are absolutely amazing! And it's not as filthy as I've been told. I mean, I probably expected much worse but the living condition I'm exposed to so far isn't horrible at all. We have similar types of filth in Malaysia. Except maybe we don't see and smell ppl's pee in the streets as often. But then, I suppose being in the upper middle class society might offer a better view of India. Ofcourse I do see the hardships of the locals. However, there's definitely a huge gap between sympathizing and relating to.

On a lighter note, I will be leaving for Bangalore tomorrow and Goa 3 days after and I'm absolutely excited out of my wits! Can't wait for some sun and sea and sight seeing~ It's really too bad I can't upload any photos here. The USB on this computer isn't working. So until I find one that does, use your imaginations k:) Till then!

reunion dinner, when it’s ok to be kepoh!

ok..mayb should just tell y'all how CNY is done with my family.
morning morning, my mom will go down to my dad's side punyer family to masak..
with like 4 more aunties.. my grandparents got 8 kids altogher ..
so for lunch today i went to my paternal side to makan, siap tengok cousins ,uncles and all
also get early ang pows hehe ^^

anyway, when i tengah makan, i received another call.. from my mom's mother.. to go to her place for lunch too!!
so what did i do?
i ate.. then cabut..
drove for 10 mins to my grandmother's house!!
then eat again!!!

ohh.. and i met my cousin bro. when we're young ,we pakated to bully his sis and his bro.. haha
it was fun meeting him.. no more f4 hair.. more clean cut..
and my hypothesis is psst.. he may have a gf..
cuz i see him using a chou pia ah lian samsung fon when he obviously have a high-tech N95. hmm bagi gf kot..
2nd supporting evidence, a nice watch..
he is soo not the kind of guy who wears watch..
so hm.. u tell me....

moving on...dinner definately at my dad's side lar..but my other aunt called to go to her place.. house warming.. but we din go because have to go down to lumut.
i got one cousin makin tengok makin like jay chou.. GOOD hair!!!
i like!!! but he lar, i invited him to go to the concert he dun want go..
aih~ wo de tian!!!
so makan, makan diner (which i got help abit to masak.. her her.. buat baik konon.. actually i just stood the stove and count the time oni.. haha ) then play with cousin, then balik rumah and here i am online.

tomorrow 8.30 am have to go down to Lumut again.. noon, will go sitiawan see my other grandmother, at night will go to church, midnight will go out and meet friends and get drunk!

btw, i really need to tell u all about this. another of my obsessive compulsive behaviour.
u see i was looking for a pair of black heels in kl and i couldn't find one i like. so i knw one of the butiques in sitiawan have the black heels which i like but it's been on the shelf for 4 years.
so anyone with common sense knws that we shouldn't buy old stock rite?
but i was a desperate person!!!
i went to the shop told her i wan the black heels and lantak la they dun have size 7 i will take size 6!!!
and because the shoes havent been worn and kept in a box for a long long time.. the white sole sorta mengelupas bit by bit..
the salesgirl : u sure u want this?
jinni :hell, yeah!!! give them to me! i'll take it! pack it up! how much?
then i went around sitiawan looking for a shoe repair shop..
bt since it's sunday nobody's gonna open their shop rite?
so i saw a cobbler on one of the sidewalks and i screeched my car to a stop and ran down to ask
jinni: uncle, can u repair this for me!!!
uncle : i dun have the sole need. u gotta go to Bata to get it, if they can't do it for u bring them back here and i'll get it done for u.
and i drove all the way to Bata but they didnt sell the sole!! Sh*t u, bata.
so i drove all the way to manjung to see the shoe repair shop and there's a sign ISNIN-KHAMIS 9.30am-5.00pm. thank u Tuhan!!!
so i went back home and counted the hours to 9.30am the next day, then i left my house at 10am to go to the shop and practically beg the auntie,
jinni:kak(pujuk-pujuk skit), boleh tolong saya tukar tak tapak ni?
kakak:tapi saya tak der la tapak warne putih..hitam aderla
jinni: ok!!! hitam ! settle!! bila saya boleh ambil?
kakak: besok boleh?
jinni:ok! besok saya datang!
i went home and counted the hours... the minute after i fetch my sis from school i drove there and got my shoes back... my precious~~~

greetings!
before anything else, i just wanna say HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR to all!!!
i accept ang pows, mandarin oranges and BBQ pork slices(preferably all 3)

let me update y'all on what i've been doing in Sitiawan:
1. drive all around town doing CNY shopping,5 consecutive days from 10 am- 5pm
2. chauffer my sis to school, tuition
3. get my stuff done. shoes, dress

standing to-do list:
1. finish own assignment (yet to accomplish arggh! and there's 3!!!)
2. help out in my aunt's assignment
3. settle letters, banners and handbills for college event
4. read King Lear
5. help get stuff for ...
6. choreograph dance for easter!! ( roughly have the idea, it's the details left.. and i am a sucker for details)
7. panic,panic,panic,panic!!!!

btw, i always read more at home compared to when i stay in college.. that's because in college i don't have a shelf of books behind my bed and easily accesible books.
so i've been reading John Steinback and Graham Greene.
and alot of mangas
mangas author i apporve of and highly recommend to y'all (just in case u suddenly develope an interest for mangas and animes.. altho yes, i knw u ppl think i have a crazy hobby)
*mumbling at the back "yes, she's an otaku..what a freak" mumble mumble*

i can't remember if i told u ppl this but i've read that
1 mandarin orange=1 slice of bread
so ppl if u wanna keep your nice hot body, cut down on the intake of mandarin orange.

okay, enough with the echo effect..

my friend once told me to not be afraid to love.
but nobody knows how hard it is for me to do so.
i have certain principles i adhere to.
should i comply because i am starting to feel time?
or am i merely confused by the fine line between love and lust?
one thing for sure, it'll be a lie if i say i am willing to give my all.
because, i have nothing to give.
u tell me.
that aside, i'm thinking i should stay back in sitiawan to celebrate my sis's birthday on the 12th. it's not everyday you get a cool sister.
p.s- daylight robberies happening along those lonely lanes from 9th coll to Uni. i use those lanes every tues and thurs morning and i know no karate!! Lord, please keep us all safe and away from harm.
