oh the cowardice

April 29th, 2008 | Posted by rogue | LoLz forbidded

u know, i can never understand all the ’too-damn-free’ and anonymous commenters

i mean, if u have something to say, say it to my face
or at least reveal who u are.
do u actually think that by hiding behind an anonymous front that u are actually doing any sort of good at all?

these days, the internet allows just about anyone to ’speak their minds’.
and of course there are pros and cons that comes with it.

but do u people honestly think that anyone will take u seriously when u cant even bring yourself to reveal your own identity?
u dont even take yourself seriously, so why should anyone else?

there’s just ONE word for people like this.

SAD

i got this email on my myspace.
and found it pretty hilarious.

its from a male with the nickname ’SexyGuy’
(the name itself made me laugh.. hahaha)
and when i saw his myspace URL, i laughed even harder!
it says myspace/bradpittts.
BRADPITTTS!
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

this is what he said:
“U know what?u look better with long hair, short hair spoiled everything u know. I think ive seen you on tv, your pics are getting sexier and more clevage are visible. Your parents must be proud of u. :) Mini skirts, low tops,. Men will have one thing in mind only, and they definately wont wanna make you their wife. You are pretty, why dont you change? Right now, every men wants to fuck(sorry) you. Such a cute face, sad to see it getting ruined. Take care. Bye.”

this is MY reply:
:)
thank u for your ‘concern’.
i really love my short hair right now. its something different for a change.
my parents ARE proud of me. and i know that as a fact. they know that i’ve got more brains, personality and character that can never be bounded by what i wear.
well, if men are that shallow, it’s got nothing to do with me.
how a person dresses has nothing to do with how they are as a person.
how a person dresses up does not define who they are.
one more thing thou, i really am not bothered whether or not they want or dont want to make me their wife. :)
i’ve got a life to live,
i’ve got goals of my own to meet,
i’ve got a healthy group of friends to whom i know will always understand and accept me for who i am and who i will and aspire to be.
a picture may seem like a lot of things, but through the things that u just said, it some how or rather defined how u are as a person.
i’m sorry, i just cant take u seriously when u cant even take yourself seriously. :)
U take care aight?
and thank u for humouring me :)

seriously, this guy’s got some shrunken tiny-ass balls sarcasm…… NOT
hahahahaha….
jeez, never fails to amuse me.

they think they’ve got me all figured out!
ha ha ha

the Emperor

April 28th, 2008 | Posted by rogue | LoLz forbidded

i’m SO PROUD of adrian @ uncle, dinosour..!
he and yuri started out their own ‘company’ called the Factory
and its based in Hartamas.
Yuri is the music producer while adrian is into film production.

adrian has always aspired to produce feature films.
his movie studio @ the Factory is very well equipped with production and post production facilities.
and this i’m not kidding u!
i’ve been there, seen his stuff, and boy is this man ever proud of his equipment!
and gosh, u should get him to show u his sound system.
i’ve always loved listening to movie soundtracks in his little studio.
feels like u’re right there with the musicians!
plus the sofa is so damn comfy~
oh! and have i mentioned that he absolutely loves movie soundtracks? :)

well, backtracking a little, adrian and his ’partner-in-crime’, Juliane Block recently did the music video for Frequency Cannon’s popular hit single entitled Girl.

(i personally thought dino would have been a better lead)

and if u ask me, i think these duo are one to look out for!
they’re really good at what they do, they’re creative, and they really have the passion and drive!
i’ve always liked how adrian’s eyes and face would light up when he’s talking bout his movies and his equipment and his music!
u rarely see such genuine enthusiastic spirit in people these days
(or maybe i’m just hanging out with waaaaay too ‘mature’ ppl)

ANYHOW, they’ve also recently just produced an independent international release movie!
its called the Emperor.
i’ve personally not seen it yet due to all the practices and stress for penang
but since its adrian and juliane, i can pretty much guarantee that its going to be AWESOME!

okay, enough of my rambling,
this is the write up to the Emperor.

“Emperor” by Juliane Block (Malaysia / Germany 2008, 90min)
Produced by The Factory Movie Studio & J-Blockbuster
Competes in the Online Film Festival “From Here to Awesome”

Filmsynopsis:
Based on the novel, EMPEROR is a murder mystery wrapped in an Asian crime thriller.

Po Sin, Victor and Felix grew up in the shadow of a major Malaysian crime figure. Their lives get complicated as a series of events suck Po Sin and Victor deep into the triad world while they struggle to protect Felix from a similar fate. A triad war erupts with Hong Kong gangs over lucrative international human trafficking contracts, while personal ambitions take their own toll. The Malaysian police hound Victor over an alleged string of sex crimes and matters spiral out of control.

About the festival:
The festival’s goal is to create a direct connection between filmmaker and audience. The programming of the festival is put directly in the hands of the audience. By harnessing the power of social tools, audience members will be able to discover, share and assist in programming the festival.

the Young Visionaries

April 28th, 2008 | Posted by rogue | LoLz forbidded

received an email from Weng Fai the other day and he was telling me about their cause and it’s dedication to helping orphans, raising awareness, getting funding for homes and etc.
and honestly, when i was reading the email, i had this warm feeling that i find hard to put into words.
for me, being involved with the orphanage and stuff, i’m beginning to see and meet more and more people who are generous with their time and energy when it comes to fighting for a cause that is close to their hearts.
this only goes to show, in even plainer sight, that the universe has a balance
that for every man who is ignorant, there is another who is compassionate, passionate and free-willing.

i really respect people, especially youths, who are willing to give up their time and energy into fighting for a better tomorrow.
it doesnt have to be something big.
it doesnt have to be something expensive.
its the time and effort that counts.
the kids do not see the money.
they barely even feel it’s presence.
what they need and feel is our time, our patience, and our guidance.

of course funds are necessary to get by.
but our presense in their lives are the things that would make a difference.
little things like spending an afternoon playing with them, or giving them tuition, or just listening to them.
thats what matters.
because the kids mirror us.
we’re somehow or rather their role models.

well, enough about my thoughts cos it’ll go on and on for hours.

below are the details to the Young Visionaries.

Young Visionaries is a continuity of a project born in year 2003 which focuses on bringing better changes to the less fortunate children in orphanages and shelters within the Klang Valley. It consists of three main components:1) To bring in foreign interns to work for the orphanages/shelters for 2 months through our wide AIESEC database.2) To organise weekly activities with the children from the 3 orphanages/shelters adopted by our initiative.3) To assist the orphanages/shelters in their fund raising activities.

AIESEC, on the other hand, is actually a global, not-for-profit organization run by students and recent graduates which provides a platform for young people to develop their potential in the hopes of producing a positive impact on society, and Young Visionaries is a project initiated by AIESEC in Universiti Malaya.
True to the cause of our initiative we are working hard on spreading awareness about our initiative and also about the plight of underprivileged children in general. In addition to that we hope to get interested volunteers to assist us should we need them in upcoming fund raising activities organised by the orphanages/shelters. Thus, I would like to ask if you will be interested to help promote our initiative through your website. Given the large number of visitors to your website we hope that our aims can be achieved. If you’re interested to know more about our initiative and also about what we do in general you can visit us at http://youngvisionaries.wordpress.com.
If you have any queries regarding our initiative or AIESEC in general, please feel free to ask me anytime.
Thank you for your attention, and I hope to hear from you soon.

behind every laugh

April 28th, 2008 | Posted by rogue | LoLz forbidded

okay, maybe the word ‘every’ does not cut it.
but i was just reminded that sometimes, when a person is laughing on the outside, it does not mean that they are truely happy.
and i have met a lot of people who are like that.
they cover up their unhappiness with laugher, or egoistic acts

i cant say that what they are doing is right or wrong.
everyone just has their own ways when it comes to dealing with things.
everyone has their frustrations and worries.
but what i’m frustrated about is that they wouldnt want to allow others into that circle of theirs.
behind all that machoism, there is a soft side which is hurting or wounded.
and sometimes, i’d like to help.
even if it means just sitting there.
we dont have to talk, we dont have to laugh.
i dont judge.
i wont judge u.
so its perfectly ok to be yourself sometimes.

its not easy having to put up a happy front all the time.
that i shoud know.
its tiring. and frustrating.
and sometimes u’d just wish that there’s somebody out there that u can rant and rant and rant on and on about things
without having to fear being judged.
or to just be entirely yourself without having to fear of what others would think about u.

yes i can say that i dont care what others think about me.
i really dont.
not when it comes to strangers that is.
but when it comes to friends, i’d like to think that i’m at least responsible for an explanation.
or rather, in other words, i just want to be understood.
so i’m guessing the same applies to just about everyone.
that at the end of the day, everybody just wants at least ONE person who’d be able to understand them.
even if its not entirely, but close enough.
its human connection. we thrive on it.

i’ve got to admit thou, that the reason why i sometimes do not want to talk about things is because i feel that people wont understand.
and sometimes i just do not have the patience to explain in full details.
and i feel that even then, no one will truely 100% grasp the intensity of my thoughts.
but thats just me.
and this is by no means something to take against me.

i guess, this time, its just my bit of frustration cos i feel as thou i’ve failed as a friend if i cant be there for them.
but whatever it is, just know that, even if u think i wont truely understand u, it wont hurt to just sit in silence.
and i’m willing to do that.

thou, on hindsight, after all is said and done, i personally dont even heed my own advice.
heh~ :P
