Love from afar

I wanted to blog about this since last thursday but didn't have the time to do so, cuz was busy with my CVS interpretation exam n pharmacy practice dispensing test.-_-"
Anyway, both are over now, but i have been out the past two days, to one utama n midvalley..hehe.. When i got home, was already dead tired. Not mentioning the late night movies with my housemates in the room.=D

Anyway, back to what this blog is all about..i got flowers last thursday!! Actually the exciting part wasn't the receiving flowers part. But it was the amount of SHOCK i was in when i saw the flowers.

It all started with just a normal brand new day, n we went to class like usual. It was break between lectures n i was chatting with sin ye n xin yi. Then out of a sudden, cheh sia asked me to not turn behind, n look at him. I felt really weird that time, thinking that he likes me..wahahaha...just joking.=P

Anyway, when he finally said i could turn, i saw a bouquet of flowers right in front of my eyes, n everyone was looking at me n devi had the video camera recording the scene. For a moment i actually thought, 'Is it my birthday today?' N when i realised it wasn't, i thought, 'is it for poh yee?' cuz she was standing beside me.

But well, it was for me! N chin yeong told me it was from Kenneth, n then she gave me an envelope n i saw it was from germany. I was really really REAAALLY SURPRISED. I was speechless. Cuz actually he is in a europe trip with his siblings, for three weeks plus. So i cant contact him but through mails, whereby he don't get to online often anyway except if the hotel has internet service. So how on earth will i ever think that he will do something like this?hehe..

Anyway, chin yeong told me that he wanted to give me the flowers n card cuz he knows that i will be sad cuz i wont get to talk to him for this one month. N he actually wanted to give it to me on our 3 years 3 months 3 days anniversary. But my adamant housemates say cannot cuz that time he wasn't st his europe trip yet. Hence, they decided to do it on my 3 years 3 months 13 days anniversary.

All i can say is that it was really really sweet of him for doing that. Thank you lao kung! This blog is specially for u! I love the flowers a lot, n i know u purposely bought a postcard with penguins at the front. I know u feel the penguin is me..=P N i really like it also! N all that u wrote.=)

People in class were asking me what was the flowers n card for, n i really didn't know what to say. Cuz it wasn't my birthday or sth..hehe..

Anyway, i wana thank the FOUR C's. Chin yeong, cheh sia, chun kang n choon hau. Chin yeong for taking the trouble to go buy the flowers. Also to cheh sia who fetched chin yeong, n to the other two who tagged along in the process.=) I really appreciate it n i love you guys! Chin yeong you are the best!! Muacks muacks!! Oh oh, Kenneth of course u r the best too!hehe..

Here are some pictures i took^^

Talladega Nights

when i got back sitiawan last sunday, the few of us drove down to lumut for some fresh air (and breathtakin view in the dark). we did what we did best – orgy pose.

things havent changed much here in lumut. it’s still the same blue tree, the same waterfront, the… hey wait, i noticed west connection‘s signboard is now “memory“.

okay everyone, let’s pose for the camera

chianming, hit the shutter button quick cause we’re getting restless

basically, aside for changyung’s late dinner, we were also there for a camwhorin session.

the fact that there were many people around doesn’t stop us from doin funny things (actually it does stop me when chianming decided to have jumpin shots). so you think you can jump?

mayjune was some distance behind changyung and chianming,
therefore the reading was taken based on 3d perspective.

the followin evenin, we were seen together again in changyung’s garden, this time with a barbeque pit. all of us seemed very into the barbeque mood; some prepared the charcoal, one with the camera, while the rest lay out the drinks and raw food on the table.

chianming was so excited, she decided to wet her pants

and jinni was happily playing with charcoals

now here comes the interestin part. let’s keep our focus on mayjune, shall we?

she walks to the table, avoiding all detection but one – my camera

her hand reaches out for the container containing nata de coco

and within the next second, it disappears inside her mouth

haha, and she didn’t realised my lens was on her throughout her “stealin nata de coco” session.

when night falls, we can spot chicken wings, fishballs, and hotdogs lyin on the barbeque pit. it takes alot of patience and effort to sit by the hot flame, takin care to not overcook these food. thanks to jinni, who squatted the longest by the pit just to ensure that we had magnificent food for that night.

i wonder what’s with barbeque and high heels

in short, i had a wonderful, non-alcoholic night with a sumptuous meal.

mayjune was always seen with food

there she was, dozing off after her barbeque meal

Canton Bay @ Sunway Pyramid

yesterday, sunway pyramid was havin a cutathon charity drive by a cut above. i noticed many people were queuein up waitin for their turn.

it was so crowded, that me and josey decided to skip venturin that floor, but move on to the rest instead.

for dinner, we walked into canton bay, a chinese restaurant i’ve been dyin to try out due to its pretty good reviews. (4.5 out of 5 from 16 votes)

i’m seriously trying not to laugh here

nicely seated, we were then accompanied by two familiar faces.

jinni & mayjune :)

canton bay‘s scenic view is none other than the famous malaysia amusement park, sunway lagoon.

the four of us, after placing our orders

it took us awhile to decide on what to eat (as usual), and once decided, we started chattin and chattin. the followin was one of the “interestin” news that mayjune would like to share with me.

after some time, our food arrived without our drinks.

honestly, it was really a tough time keepin mayjune away from the food.

with that grin of hers, you should know what i mean

on the other hand, jinni was unstoppable

after dinner, we searched for j. co donuts. somethin there really caught my attention…

must be hot and able to work about with asses

o.O” seriously, a “t” behind “ass” would really help alot. plus, you really don’t want to know what happened to mayjune in front the donut counter.

we then headed back to jinni’s place to treat ourselves with the donuts.

Salvador Dali

When I was much younger, perhaps a little over 7, I had quite a complete collection of Disney Encyclopedia for Kids. It was quite a fad in the 90s, every other kid had this collection. So, before I developed my love for reading, I started with my love for looking at pictures. Visual images could completely catch my attention and I could actually stare at it for a long time and let my imagination have a run (known later on in life as 'stoning').

There was a painting that I remember in one of these encyclopedia books and ever since I set my eyes on them, I never could really forget the impact I felt. As a kid, I probably thought I was scared to see something so weird. But now, I could say I was more in awe. It had interpretations a 7 year old could never comprehend and I just sat there watching this painting imprinting itself in my mind. Quite fascinated, I did intentionally flip to the page where I could find this painting whenever I had a visual hunger.

Recently, this painting came back to haunt my memory. I was so curious about what the painting was about, who painted it, and why the hell was someone carrying a cross and fending off tall horses and elephants? It was annoying that I realize I may not be able to ever find my answers by googling "tall elephant paintings". Actually, if I googled "long legged elephant paintings" I may have found a link, but I didn't think of putting it that way. My mistake.

So then I had a pleasant conservation with Terence about art history and all. He told me everything he knew and the conversation lead to Salvador Dali, a surrealist at work and his famous paintings which included the long legged elephants. Then excitedly, I went, "Oh!! I've been looking for this person for a while!! How do i spell his name again?" Which lead to a series of online research and finally being able to look upon this painting once again after over a decade of ignorance.

Ladies and gentleman, shall I present to you the man that has been subconsciously looking for me all this time; Salvador Dali and his "Temptations of Saint Anthony", exactly how I remembered it to be 10 years ago.

The Temptation Of Saint Anthony.

Dali's Signature

PS: When I saw the second picture, I went, "Omg! He likes cats too! We were so meant to be!"^_^
