accordin to symbian-freak, this baby is a Nokia N96 killer! equipped with a 8-megapixels auto focus camera with face detection & image stabilizer support, not to mention dual LED flash, this slider is easily mistaken for a digital camera than a phone. Innov8 is definitely a photographer’s dream phone!

although the 2.8″ QVGA crystal clear LCD screen is not as big as OMNIA‘s, it is capable of displayin 16 million colours (65 thousand colours by Omnia, accordin to gsmarena). like Omnia, this smartphone supports DivX video playback right out of the box! other supported video formats include H.263, H.264, WMV, and MP4. audio playback is enhanced with Samsung‘s Digital Natural Sound engine (DNSe), which helps to produce higher quality surround sound.

Innov8 comes with internal 16GB flash memory and a microSD slot for additional memory card up to 16GB (SDHC). other key features include integrated GPS with support for A-GPS via the bundled Symbian OS V9.3 S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2, optical sensor in the form of a touchpad for “mouse-like” functionality, HSDPA at 7.2 bps (3.5G) connectivity on 900 and 2100 Mhz WCDMA bands, quad band GSM, Bluetooth (A2DP support), Wi-Fi and USB 2.0.
with a 1200 mAH battery that supports talk time of up to 300/510 min (3G/2.5G) and stand-by time up to 330/310 hours (3G/2.5G), this smartphone should last 24 hours easily with moderate to heavy usage, as opposed to N96 (950 mAH battery).
i know touchscreen is the hype these days, but as long as a phone contains features like a large screen for watchin movies (DivX playback is essential here), Wi-Fi for unlimited online purposes, HSDPA (3.5G), GPS (very important especially for those livin in KL), Bluetooth, large storage capacity, and long battery hours, it will be my dream phone (camera is a bonus).
by the way, i came across a Lowyat forum entry which stated that a brand new Innov8 cost RM2450
