This is My December
I know I don’t usually blog about my own experiences but I’m gonna give it a shot this time…hehe…
It’s been a pretty fun month for me…at first I didn’t plan to come back to Malaysia this time around…I was going around telling Pat that I would have time to meet up…telling PohChan that I would be around to attend his convo…telling people that I will be celebrating CNY at Melbourne and stuff…
The main idea of me staying back was to get my 2009 accomodation sorted out but with a stroke of luck, I got it settled and with that thing out of the way, I’ve got no reason to stay back at Melbourne anymore…so with no hesitation, I moved my stuffs to the new house…booked an AirAsiaX ticket (sorry guise…I’m pretty poor-ish, so no full-service airline for me and no business-class rubbish =P) and voila…back in Msia! hehe…

this one here is my new crib...I'm only renting a room here...sharing the house with some uni-mates...(sorry about the poor quality of some of the images...coz I took them with my lousy phone camera)...
A little bit about my AirAsiaX flight…budget airline…as you would’ve guessed…everything is pretty basic…as one of my friend has pointed out…it is just to get you from point A to B, nothing more…so just pop in some benzos, close your eyes and sleep till the plane reaches its destination. And it did live up to its ‘reputation’…the flight was delayed for 30 mins…tsk tsk…bad first impression.

I like the seats…its abit like business class design, like when you recline, the seat won’t sort of take up the legroom of the person behind, so no more rubbish like, “oh sir, could you please set your seat upright coz the person behind you wanna eat / use the table-y thingy”

the food...might look abit like crap but tastes pretty okay...it was some BBQ chicked with baked potatoes....sth like that.....

inflight entertainment unit...can be purchased onboard but on that day the flight crew said it was unavailable due to some fault in the system that was 'unserviceable' (typical Msian excuse, just like 'masalah teknikal', 'sebab-sebab yang tidak dapat dielakkan' and etc.)

some Msian styled 'artwork' in the toilet...
So now that I’m back in Stw…do pretty much the same thing everyday…breakfast, sleep/online, astaka, dinner, sleep…so if u wanna catch me…astaka would be the perfect spot…met a couple of Stw friends though…like TauLiang, ChinKai, Nailah (if you guys still remember who she is), Wong Mai Peng, Mr. Choong / Ultraman-teacher, Ling Gear Long…all at astaka la….
Oh yea and I did went to Ipoh’s International Orchid Festival thingy…who need the Tesselar Tulip Fest at Melbourne? We got our very own….like right at our own backyard…hehe…so some orchid pics now….

Then I was off to Singapore…to visit my sister, help her move to her new crib and crash her housewarming…I’ve heard alot about Singapore’s Christmas and has been missing out like for the 1st 20 years of my life….so I wanna go and see it for myself this time…and oh yea…sorry ah CY…for not calling you out to meetup coz my schedule was pretty packed and couldn’t find time to visit you at NUS…but I did manage to meetup with YeeSiang one morning (My sis’s place was at Jurong and coincidentally he’s staying at Jurong too!)
Went to a few places in Singapore like Sentosa and etc…

the Merlion at Sentosa...
Please note the scales on the merlion, it’s a shape of a ‘Bagua’, the fengshui / taoism stuff…just if you guys don’t know, the 1 dollar coin and other banknotes like the $10 also bear the ‘Bagua’ symbol…
I also went to this Indian restaurant, Annalakshmi, a non-profit vegetarian restaurant. Good food, nice atmosphere and there is no fixed price to the menu, you just pay what you feel like paying…

my lunch...with strawberry lassi ^^

the interior was pretty amazing for a non-profit makan place…nicely decorated with paintings and Hindu figurines and since its christmas, there’s also a christmas tree inside….how good is that? hehe…

me trying out one of those sharp front, blurry back photo thingy....

the buddha tooth relic temple

chinatown in a country with more than 300% chinese...hmmm
