it was a very windy day in damansara uptown.
and damn, it’s a 2-seater mercedes-benz some more! (i’m not sure the class though) if this guy can afford a car like that, don’t tell me he couldn’t afford those season parking charges!
scare you a bit before we proceed 
last saturday, i attended the 12th convocation ceremony 2009 of uniten, which was held at the putrajaya campus (formerly known as bangi campus). it was so eff-ing crowded due to the combination of civil engineering, mechanical engineering, information technology (graphics & multimedia), information technology, accounting, and business management courses. i had to park approximately 2km away and then walk up some slopes just to get to the multipurpose hall, where the ceremony took place.
each graduate was given 2 invitation cards to bring along 2 guests, and with that, i brought my mum and my brother along. i was a little pissed when i saw the top corner of the invitation card wrote in capital letter with full confidence “please tear hear“. my gawd, the card gave a professional and formal-like impression… until the invitee sees this.
anyway, the ceremony started off with the grand entree of the vips (chancellor, pro-chancellors, members of the academic senate etc). it was then proceeded with the opening speech by the chancellor, tun dato’ seri utama dr abdul rahman bin haji abbas, who is also the current yang di-pertua negeri pulau pinang. some time later, an interesting speech was given by the chief executive officer of jaring communications sdn bhd, dr mohamed bin awang lah, who was also awarded with ijazah kehormat doktor teknologi maklumat. finally, the awarding degrees to students and honorary undergraduates took place.
i saw many familiar faces like beh chai ling, who received the best overall award for accounting course. below is another familiar face for you readers to see.
after the closing ceremony, everyone rushed out of the hall for lots of photo taking session. it was practically so packed, i spent more than 30 minutes just finding my mum and brother among the crowd!
chianming couldn’t make it, so she sent her brother to represent her
