basically, josey’s mum’s cousin came to kl with a couple of his friends, and because she has a pretty bad sense of direction, i was “dragged” along to “tour” them. luckily, he has a relative living in kl, and therefore my “sole purpose” on that day was just to drive the other car and not guide.
when we arrived there, it was already 2pm thanks to the crazy traffic into malacca town. finding a parking that day was like searching for a needle in a haystack. after finding a parking lot in dataran pahlawan melaka megamall, we had mcd for lunch before walking around.
first stop was, of course, the ruins of fort a famosa. dear readers, now that i’m feeling lazy to elaborate any further, let’s have the pictures do the talking.
the first quarter of 2010 brings an awesome challenger for Apple’s way overhyped iPhone 3GS. well, say hello to Sony Ericsson’s first Android phone – the XPERIA X10!
thank god it’s not named Rachael or X3 based on the speculation floating around. at last, the X10 is what i have been hoping for.
this phone’s a stunner! 4″ screen displaying a screen resolution of 480×854 pixels (WVGA), and only 0.5″ thick thin! (ops, i guess 3.5″ ain’t that big after all) featuring capacitive touchscreen and an impressive media browser that reminds us of the Zune HD’s UI, it also comes with face recognition in photos integrated with your contacts.
the X10 has an 8.1-megapixel camera with auto focus, flash, smile-detection, face recognition, and video recording with video light. how awesome is that? awww iPhone, you gotta do better than 3.15-megapixel, don’t you? for those who are hoping for a physical QWERTY keypad, sorry but there is no way this thing is hiding a QWERTY keypad in that slim form factor.
the internal memory is 1GB, and supports MicroSD card up to a maximum of 16GB. networks supported are GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, and UMTS/HSPA 800/850/900/1700/1900/2100. the X10 comes with a-GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 A2DP, Google Maps and WiFi. the processor is, well, rumoured to be a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon (iPhone 3GS only runs on 600Mhz).
now we can ride to Pangkor island in less than 15 minutes! (if you ask me, the new jetty looks like a factory from far) no, not this island. that photo was taken when we overlooked back towards Teluk Batik direction. Marina Island Pangkor, if i’m not mistaken, is a man-made reclaimed land located very [...]
Universiti Teknologi MARA, Selayang
easier to pronounce as UiTM Selayang, a dedicated campus for their faculty of medicine, i was honoured to be part of the design & build team, although just a small part. my part was just to check the design that my senior did, and indeed it was tough! the moment i got involved, i was [...]
