On tuesday, a bunch of us went to midvalley to celebrate devi's birthday. The venue changed from PJ to chili's in midvalley and when we reached, the waitress told us that they were unable to arrange table for 18. And thus, recommended us to Spaghetti Grill aka Chili's sister. Thinking it would be good as well, we agreed.

It's located in the same stretch as Chili's.

Much to our disappointment, the food there was...HORRIBLE!!! Shall explain based on pictures.=)

Poh yee's soup and salad. The soup is very thick. In fact, TOOOOO thick. Cant imagine? Well, imagine taking a scoop of it, and pouring it on a flat surface. It will not flow slowly down like usual thick soup, but it wil go 'piak'..

We ordered hawaiian pizza and garlic sth pizza (forgot the name d). They were the only better ones that we had. It was nothing special (u can get similar tasting pizza in many restaurants), but i guess the fact that the other food was so sucky that we really appreciate these pizzas!

Wen yi's grilled chicken pasta. For one, the grilled chicked is dry, and doesn't taste much. The spaghetti has very limited sauce, hence very dry as well.

Raj's fish and chips. The chips suungguh the little, and doesn't taste good. The fish is still all right but i hated the sauce. It's not the usual tartar sauce. Dunno what they added in.

Chin yeong and i shared lasagna and stuffed mushroom. Considering it was rm23.95, we sort of expected a TGIF size lasagna. But...it was pathetically small. I think the angle i took made it look bigger. Do not be deceived! Now, the taste. It was the worst lasagna i've ever tried. Seriously. I am a fan of lasagna and this was a huge let down. Even the lasagna i had in germany (the ones we bought from rewe supermarket and then bake it in an oven) taste better.
And Kenneth, you rmbr once we overbaked the lasagna? It tasted kinda yucky rmbr? This is worse. Cuz at least the one we overbaked had nice cheese on top.
So my rating:1/10 (i gave up eating halfway)

This stuffed mushroom cost rm17.95..and it taste bad. The mushroom is of those chinese mushroom, but they made it soft and not chewy. The menu stated 'stuffed with meat' But i could hardly taste any meat. Just some macam flavoured oat kinda feeling.

And apparently, the ravioli that chew ning ordered was also bad. I wonder how was the food that the rest ordered.

i was in the gardens last wednesday for some pasta at italiannies.

you know, the bowls of pasta promotion where you get to pick 4 pasta of your choice out of the available 10, in a single order for only rm29.90.

among the 10 choices available, we picked (clockwise in picture below) chicken & mushroom, classic carbonara, chili shrimp, and chicken lasagna.

of course, the best is still classic carbonara, which i never fail to order almost everytime i went italiannies. the chili shrimp, in my opinion, is a little lack of taste, but addin pepper into it solves the problem. as for the portion, it’s enough to feed 2 not-hungry people =) because i wasn’t satisfied with the helpin, i ordered another quattro platter.

seriously, i dislike the stuffed mushrooms balls, and the zucchini fritte is a little too on the salty side. all in all, i spent rm69 on a bowls of pasta, a quattro platter, and a glass of ‘bottomless’ (not butt-less) ice lemon tea.

Yayyy….. it’s that time again! Wtf duno why I’m so happy… tomorrow JLPT 3 & 4 exam la donk! Not yet finish studying but can’t wait to take exam? Wana flunk again?! I hope I would do better for JLPT 4 this time… Last year I failed by 1 mark. Damn… need to pay RM50 for retake zzz.

Neway, my passport sampai-ed yesterday dee!!!!! Phew… & I thought I wouldn’t be able to go to Singapore. Can you believe it? I left my passport at Labuan and thank god I still have friends who are still in campus so they post it here.

So, today will mark the 1st day of my ever-so-busy-travelling-all-over-places!

i came across this post in friendster’s bulletin board and decided to share it. this post does not contain any implicit meanin, and is to be treated only as a joke

three lawyers and three engineers are travellin by train to a conference. at the station, the three lawyers each buy their tickets and watch as the three engineers buy only a single ticket.

how are three people going to travel on only one ticket?” asked one of the three lawyers.
“watch and you’ll see,” answers one of the engineers.

they all board the train. the lawyers take their respective seats but all three engineers cram into a restroom and close the door behind them. shortly after the train has departed, the conductor comes around collecting tickets. he knocks on the restroom door and says, “ticket, please.”

the door opens just a crack and a single arm emerges with a ticket in hand. The conductor takes it and moves on.

the lawyers saw this and agreed it was quite a clever idea. so after the conference, the lawyers decide to copy the engineers on the return trip and save some money. when they get to the station, they buy a single ticket for the return trip. to their astonishment, the engineers don’t buy a ticket at all.

how are you going to travel without a ticket?” asks one perplexed lawyer.
“watch and you’ll see,” says one of the engineers.

when they board the train the three lawyers cram into a restroom and the three engineers cram into another one nearby. the train departs.

shortly afterward, one of the engineers leaves his restroom and walks over to the restroom where the lawyers are hiding. he knocks on the door and says, “ticket, please.”

3. check time table which brings me good news (which is, i think my class is from mon-wed next sem.. i'm trying damn hard not too get too excited first...kut kut la i mistaken.. u knowla, i super blur wan ya..)
4. then comes the blardy bad news (which is i can't find a time to slot in my choice of elective courses into mon-wed therefore may have class on thurs.. PLUS all the slottable courses have weird sounding names...huhu..BUT I'm not giving up yet.. )
5. GOOD good news is CY is back!!! yeah..finally his no-butt butt has landed back in manjung. hangout mamak later
