computerless days: another quick update

i’m using alvin’s laptop this time, in starbucks, bangsar.
few things to mention before going for dinner
linda’s here with me and we’re waiting for may and lallu to come

1) I’M GOING TO CAMBODIA NEXT WEEK!!!!!!
i know i know.. its very last min but who cares.. hahaha
its the spontaneous things in life that is most fun and enjoyable
besides, i’ll be going there with may, and hopefully pam and linda can come!

2) i met someone
he makes me laugh
he makes me happy
he makes my heart stop every time i think of him
he intrigues me
and i respect him
he’s the person i like to talk to at the end of every day
but too bad that cant happen
he’s not around.

3) Rock Up! was a success!!
thanks to bee sim and may and the whole entire team, everything went well
minus a few hiccups here and there
i was very VERY proud when the kids came up to perform
it felt as thou they were my own kids
i absolutely love them to bits
and it was a very very emotional day
from sad to happy to stressed to proud to nothing..
i wouldnt trade what rhythm rascals do for the world

ok, i think i better go, my headache is killing me..
still sick, and now, hungry
and linda is looking bored whilst alvin is dosing off
k k.. till next time (when i can steal some time on someone else’s computer)

Twin Dolphins Stress Test

Hey peeps, guess I decided to make a post after seeing TL’s constant pestering that all of us should make a post. So, I beat the rest of the barghers (e.g. CY, CB, MJ, Pat,…… etc) here to their first post afterall. :D

When I was in the Humanities buildings of my university, I came across something interesting, and I thought that I ought to share it here. As all of you know, stress is a part of our life, and managing it is the key to a happy life. Thus, I present this stress test for your convenience, generic, but rather accurate.

The following photo has 2 identical dolphins in it. It was used in a case study on stress level at St. Mary’s Hospital. Look at both dolphins jumping out of the water. The dolphins are identical.

A closely monitored, scientific study of a group revealed that in spite of the fact that the dolphins are identical, a person under stress would find differences in the two dolphins. The more differences a person find, the higher stress level the particular person has.

Look at the photograph. If you find more than a few differences, I seriously suggest that you take a vacation. You really need it.

Never take life too seriously, nobody ever comes out of it alive anyway. :)

A Moment to Ponder

life is full of choices. many a times we find ourselves trapped in what appears to be tough decision makin moments. each choice we made will affect our future one way or another.

take for instance last month, i decided to join my friends on a little outin at midvalley. it’s not just an outin actually, but it’s a get together to celebrate jinni’s birthday. chianming decided on chili’s grill & bar for dinner, and i agreed to that.

i met up with her and the rest (jinni, mark, rachel) while we were headin upstairs for gsc cineplex. we threw in our votes on a movie to watch for that night. among the choices available were l: change the world, definitely, maybe, and deadly ghost. since birthday girl decided on definitely, maybe, we all agreed to that.

at chili’s, it was another round of decision makin again. starin at the menu, i find it pretty hard to decide what to have for the night, but due to last-minute-lack-of-time-to-decide moment, where everyone had already placed their orders, i just muttered out grilled salmon with garlic and herbs (or at least i think that was what i ordered, cause it’s been awhile ago). hey, another decision made!

this reminded me about paddington house of pancakes‘ menu. it stated “138 delicious pancakes, 1 tough decision”. that is so true!

after dinner and a birthday cake, we found ourselves inside the cineplex, a little too early, anticipatin the movie. to be honest, i wasn’t very sure if we made a right veto vote pick for this movie, so i was less on the anticipatin side and more on the sleepy side.

jinni, you did not just pull my hair!

and so that was a day filled with choices. but what if i chose not to join them on that day instead? i would not have seen them, spoke to them, ate with them, and watched a movie with them. like i’ve said, we live inside the choices we made =)
